The Shabbaton

Shabbaton Information

Devar Emet Messianic Jewish Outreach will be hosting its 8th Shabbaton for Messianic Jewish young adults from January 16-19, 2026 in Skokie, Illinois

The Shabbaton is an intentional small group gathering of Messianic Jewish young adults (college to 30 years of age) at Devar Emet Messianic Synagogue in Skokie, Illinois to strengthen the attendees’ kesher (connection) with each other, their tehillah (worship) of G-d both traditionally and freely in the name of Messiah Yeshua, and their zehut (identity) through study and transparent discussion regarding important topics and issues that uniquely concern the young adult Messianic Jewish community.

During this weekend, one can expect to enjoy a peer-focused learning style with lots of discussion, contemplation, and immersion in different aspects of Jewish life. From an Erev Shabbat dinner to daily prayers to Chicago-style cuisine and activities, this weekend is one that will hopefully be unforgettable for all!
